S.O.S. Message in a Bottle #14

Message #14

message 14

Read Romans 9:20

bottle #14 05

bottle #14 01Then read and meditate on these:

  • 2 Cor. 4:7
  • 1 Cor. 6:19-20

You are a vessel made by God for this purpose and for His glory.

Like this bottle it is easier to clean the outside than the inside.

God is looking beyond the externals.

  • Pr. 4:23
  • 1 Sam. 16:7
  • Mt. 23:24-25
  • Lk. 11:37-40
  • Jn. 13:3-10

bottle #14 02He wants to make us beautiful and clean inside and out.

Meditate on these verses:

  • Is. 64:8
  • Is. 45:9
  • Jer. 18:6

bottle 14 #06Spend some time alone with the LORD; maybe go for a walk on the beach.  Talk with your Maker, your Potter, your Father.

Talk with Him about your body, your temple.  Ask Him to help you see yourself as He sees you.  (How have you quarreled with your maker; asking, “Why have you made me thus?”)

bottle #14 07Dedicate your vessel to the LORD how ever you feel lead.

Ask Him to clean you on the inside and outside.

Then head back to your room.  You’ll find special paper to write a message for your treasure hunt bottle.  (look between the mattresses on your bed)  Write whatever you want to Him:  a prayer, a list, whatever.

After you finish this “message in a bottle”, maybe before you write your letter, consider washing your hands, soaking our feet, taking a hot shower,… some symbolic way  to be “baptized”, “cleansed”, “washed”.

Confess your sins and imagine the Lord Jesus washing your feet and washing all your sins away down the drain.  You are a new creature in Christ.

As you renew your dedication to Him, let Him “renew” YOU and fill you with new joy and abundant life.
