“GRACE” (our word from last month), I am quick to pair it with another word:
“Grace and peace” – commonly paired in the epistles
“Mercy and grace” – concepts that complement each other beautifully
But John couples “grace” with “truth“…
“…χάριτος καὶ ἀληθείας.”
“And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.” – John 1:14
“For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” – John 1:17
“What is truth?” – John 18:38 (Pilate asked before sentencing Jesus to be crucified but did not wait for an answer.)
How would you answer that question?
What is truth???
“and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” – John 8:32
“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.'” – John 14:6
“Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.” – John 17:17
This month follow the same steps for the word “truth” as you were challenged last month for the word “grace”:
- Do a word study on the word “grace”.
- CHOOSE a PICTURE or SYMBOL to represent the word “grace”.
